At a time when rock n' roll is dominated by pop and dance music, Dust 'N' Steel brings us raw, ugly heavy rock crashing all local venues. This guys are not nice boys. Nice Boys don't play rock & roll. They are ugly, misogynistic, and violent. They are also funny, vulnerable, and occasionally sensitive, especially Krzysztof Skotnicki as his breakthrough song "Orpheus" showed. While at the same time he ferociously spit out guitar riffs worthy of Aerosmith or the Stones, Krzysztof screeched out his tales about live struggeling and apathy in Poland. Meanwhile great bassist Karol Skotnicki and drummer Chris Karwowski are a limber rhythm section who keep the music loose and powerful. Bands music is basic and gritty, with a solid hard, rock base. They are dark, sleazy, dirty, and honest . There is something refreshing about a band that could provoke everything from devotion to hatred, especially since both sides are equally right. There hadn't been a hard rock band this raw and heavy in a while, and they are given added weight by singers primal rage, the sound of confused, frustrated white trash vying for his piece of the pie. In overview Dust & Steel is heavy as fuck and ready to rock.
