Everybody loves the blues! Would Robert Johnson have sold his soul to the Devil in return for a pointy death-metal super-axe? Probably not. Would Jake and Elwood ( The Blues Brothers!) be there for generations if they'd be called the Jazz Fusion Brothers? Again... probably not. This music is fun to play and great oppurtunity to look cool.

It's fairly easy to bluff you'r way at blues if you know few simple trick's. In this article you will learn how to look like bluesman.

What to wear? Let's start from the top!

Harlem+Street+Singer-web-676x450.jpg

1. Hat Any sort of headwear is instant cool in bluesville. This classic hat trick had been used by John Lee Hooker, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray among many others.

2.Guitar- Safe choices are Gibson 335 (if you'r black) and Fender Strat ( If you'r white) No one is quite sure where this racial segragation began but not many have opposed it. Buddy Guy and Jimi Hendrix ( Black guys with strats), Eric Clapton started with 355 but even he steped back into Stratville.

3. Shades- They surely look cool but the audience won't be able to see you propely when you'r „playing with feel”

4. Jacket- Blind Lemon Jefferson , Clapton and Muddy Waters showed us that most bluesman were mainly well dressed. Tailored jacket should be you'r order of the day. Get one that is couple sizes too big so it looks like you haven't been eating in few days

5. Trousers- Cotton wool trousers only! Blue jeans take you more into R&B direction and anything leather makes you rock poseur.

6. Shoes- Keep them clean! If you'r old enough you can always tell a story about you'r days back in Chicago where you were working as shoeshine boy in the 1950s.
