„ Breaking The Silence ” is good, heavy metal album in style of Korn and Megadeth. It's detail and dynamics are essantially „musical” in concept, part and parcel of the arrangments, song structures and impact of individual tracks. This record feels like a right move for an era where 'Black Veil Brides' are the new metal gods.
The first few bars of the opening track, „Lock N Load” tell the tale of this album. The song begins with the fade-in guitar riff. As it quickly arises to full volume, we can hear the huge potential and different styles the band proudly presents. In stylistic terms, Loko is all about diversity. Just have a listen to „Hate” and „Closing Eyes” to hear the pallet of suprising grooves they offer.
Sadly, all the energy in the world can't save these songs from an opinnion that when it comes from growling to singing, Petro simply does not do it in the right key. However that's the only weak point on this album and after second track he no longer sounds bored to death and turns his voice on to a better standard. On the other hand his lyrics still sound like they came straight from teenager's diary but I'm sure this will improve in time as they work hard and it doesnt seem like they are going to stop!
