-If you would have to choose one album that had a biggest influence on you, which one would it be?
If I would have to choose one album that had a biggest influance on me it would be
'Hard Rain' By bob Dylan (Live 1976)
This album is raw and exposed, Its bloody like an open wound. If you look inside, you can see right down to the bone. It is just like an exorcism, ghost of a dying marriage. Angry, grieving and rowdy.
-What do you usually do 5 minutes before the concert ?
5 minutes before the gig I'm just getting into the zone. Channeling the ancient ones, summoning the source. But most importantly remember check your zipper. You can't be heroic with your trousers undone unless your Iggy Pop!
-What is the worst thing that ever happened to you on stage?
Worst thing that happened to me on stage was when
the gig ended. When you are playing you don't want to stop.
I don't worry about screw ups and mistakes There is no right or wrong on live concert. Live performances are just like a river, you know? You have to keep it going, river cant stop just like that.
- Where do you see your self in 10 years time?
Who knows? That is the trip! We're not supposed to know. The journey is the thing...not the destination. We could say there's only one final destination, but that's fatalistic bluesman talk.
-If you could change one thing in any recording you've been on, what would it be and why?
I wouldn't change a thing. Its gone. Whatever was done was right for the moment. Recording is an attempt to capture the essence, the spirit of something. Obviously that changes. moves on. I prefer thinking about the next record and just try to be really present.
